An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
